Discos for mag photo shoot - urgent!

Post by Terrierking » Wed Apr 24, 2013 5:05 pm

:D Hi guys n gals

The title says it all really, hands up for the other four spots, don't ask where or when as I'm still waiting to find out myself.
All I do know so far is:

"Dear Roger,

I’m hoping your club can help me in organising a great feature in land Rover Monthly.

Our plan is to get together an “evolutionary” line-up of Discoverys, namely:

200 Tdi Discovery 1 = ?
300Tdi Discovery 1 = ?
Td5 Discovery 2 = ?
Discovery 3 = LARA
Discovery 4 = ?

The idea would be to photograph them as a group, then individually, with their owners, explaining how Discovery has evolved since the first model, in 1989.

We need the vehicles to be as standard as possible (ie no modified off-road specials, etc).

Do you think we could organise this with your club — presumably somewhere fairly central -- with members of your club bringing along the required vehicles?

The plan is to make this the main feature, and cover image, for the July issue, which we are now starting work on. This means we would have to get this organised in the next two weeks or so, so it will need to be done rather urgently.

Please let me know asap whether you’re interested in participating in this feature.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Dave"

Sounds like a good opportunity to get some good publicity for the club and it's members 8)
Don't have anything that can fill the requirements here, other than EAC.
Richard.

Same old story roger, would love to but he doesn't want anything out of the ordinary and whilst I wouldn't say Garfield is anything particularly special he is as much a part of JLR history as any other

Got a standard D2 if the others can't make it. Does it need to be a TD5 or would a V8 do??

Martin
I asked Dave if a roof rack & lamps were too much in my first reply to him. He got back to me saying accessories are not a problem, hence LARA being in that slot.
So you have now had your response. :)

Lol. I have either or available TD5 or a V8. If you can't get one for the day let me know. As its a Saturday it may mean others can offer to attend now. Good bit of club PR make sure you all have your triangles and tax disk holders on show.
