I have been asked to pass on the following announcement regarding the death of Charles Spencer King.
The Range Rover's creator, Spen King, died on Saturday 26th June due to head injuries sustained while riding a pedal cycle.
Spen died about 1pm Saturday in Coventry Hospital neuro care. He never regained full cognizance after his accident two weeks ago in which his bicycle collided with a van. Death was attributed to a chest infection and kidney failure brought on by the trauma of the accident.
His daughter Penny Walker had visited a half hour earlier. There will be a private funeral for family only. A memorial service later is to be planned. When arrangements are known I’ll forward them.
