I use Halfords! (Set58) last replaced May 14. If you have or know someone with a Halfords trade card get big discount.

Try ebay. I got a full set of genuine wipers (front and rear) from a main stealer's ebay store for around half of the retail price including delivery.

The only other option is to replace your D2 wiper arms with D1 arms, cheaper blades but different fitting.

I have found an ad for aero blades
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AERO-FLAT-Fro ... 35d3e5cc87 but it says "To fit these to your car you must remove the old wiper blade and the plastic fitting on the metal wiper arm, once these fiddly parts are removed the new blade just clicks on. Please note the Spoiler part will come away with the plastic fitting and is not required as the new blade is flat!" I can't work out how you would get the plastic fitting off and what the reference to the spoiler part is -I don't seem to have one. Any ideas?

The arm on the discovery is all metal.
All the plastic bits are part of the wiper itself, which will come away including the spoiler when you remove the wiper.
Then they just click into place like any other wiper, thats how mine are

The plastic fitting usually comes off when you take the wiper blade off, you are then left with the end of the wiper arm which is sort of "U" shaped, the new wiper will just fit into this "U" shape.

The wiper arm is
http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-DKB102830 and that doesn't have an u shape on it and indeed I can now remember having to get a new clip
http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/land-r ... ery-2.html when I managed to break the old one when last renewing the wiper blades -and what a performance it was trying to fix that clip to the arm .
Maybe I'll just stick with the existing coat hanger blades -shame they don't have a video of how to do it.

That arm is totally different to mine, never seen any like that before on any car
