Central Locking

Hi all.
I have looked through the forum and see many references to door lock springs but cannot see where they would fit on the rear side doors of my TD5.
Is the spring issue/repair peculiar to the Disco' 1 ?
Drivers door opens first click, three or four later the passenger door opens. The left hand rear does not move.
All linkages seem ok and it locks with a healthy clunk.
I assume the locking mechanism will be handed but does anyone know if the connector is the same for both sides ?
I want to remove RHR to try on LHR to see if the circuit is ok but do not want to strip it down if it won't fit.

It's been far too many years since I replaced door lock springs, they are handed though. Locks must be removed to replace. I'm sure the motors can be swapped over but the locks? For a circuit test to check power, you would only need to remove the door card. The connectors are easy to get at.

IIRC
The tell-tale for the lock spring is the button dropping down again when unlocking with the fob. These little springs take the slack out of the rods from the locks to the door furniture..

Hi, thanks for the input.
It locks fine and it attempts to open so I guess power is ok.
Is there any where I can find pics' or a diagram showing where the spring should be ?
I have tried looking but I can only find info' for Disco 1.

The lock spring issue only applies to D1 (and presumably RR classic).

Well if the lock spring issue only applies to Disco' 1 that will explain why I cannot find any reference to it
Looking at it, the lock and motor appear to be one, but I haven't taken it out so not sure.
If it not a spring issue, any other ideas for me ?

The actuators for the locks are handed I believe, they are known to go faulty, either locking but not unlocking or simply not working at all lol!
