That budget should buy you a good d1 or a middle of the road d2. Service history is paramount, d1 you need to check boot floor for rot and wheel arches, d2 check rear 1/4 of chassis (check all to be honest) make sure everything electrical works and all lights on dash come on as they should with self test.

Hi I am intending to buy a Landrover Discovery, I am looking to pay around £2500, I am aware there are some known faults with these vehicles, I am looking to see what is the best one to buy with my money. I think I will be going for the 2.5td as economy I have been told is better?? I am aware of chassis rot and leaking sunroofs, other than that I am pretty much clueless. I am hoping to get some sound advice before I buy and become a member hoping someone can help. Many thanks in advance.
