You can probably get away without it. I have changed one before without changing the plunger

Starter refurb

Post by theshed » Fri Mar 10, 2017 2:15 pm

Hi
I have just bought a refurb' kit for my TD5 starter. Not reading the Ad properly I did not receive the plunger.
Do I need this part ?
Starter just clicks at first, car starts after a few attempts, battery and earth's ok.
Thanks
