V8 Discovery 1 investment

Post by ewalker125 » Tue May 31, 2016 8:42 am

I am looking at making a first time investment in a car with a view to selling it in a year or 2 for a good profit. My budget is around £8000 which I know is not a huge amount but I'd hope I could turn a good profit on it, certainly something that'll beat the bank interest rates anyway!

I've been talking to a few classic car dealers and they've suggested investing in a classic landrover. I looked at the V8 defenders but many of the good examples were out of my budget. I've found a V8 Discovery 1 with 55000 miles for £5000.

I wanted some advice from the owners club themselves about where they see the values of these vehicles going over the next couple of years.

As I said, I'm a first time investor but have always been passionate about cars both new and old.

Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
